About Me

I was born December 18, 1983 in Cleveland, Ms to a Ms. Faemon Dale Jenkins and a Mr. Willie Earl Moore Sr. Being the 3rd eldest of nine, I began to express my passion for music at an early age. I started singing in the New Morning Star M.B. Church in Benoit, Ms at the age of nine. Also during this time, I started to teach myself to play the piano. Picking up everything by ear and with a little help from my uncle, I wrote and produced my first gospel song entitled “Lord, I Love You” at the age of eleven.I attended Ray Brooks School where I played the alto sax, tenor and bass drum, and cymbals in the school’s marching band. During my ninth grade year, I sang, rapped, wrote and produced songs with a group called D. S. H. (Down South Hoodlums). I did my first competition that summer where I gave what was called “ the most dynamic performance of the competition.” Although we came in second place, that positive feedback gave me the courage I needed to continue in what would be a very challenging career. I have performed in numerous school functions, city competitions, funerals, weddings, birthday parties, and church functions. After graduating Valedictorian of my class, I attended Delta Sate University; double majoring in chemistry and biology. During that time I sang in a choir called G.A.V.(God’s Anointed Voices). In the fall of ‘03, I crossed in the Psi Kappa Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. But after being in school only two years, I dropped out and moved to Clarksville, Tn to be closer to my family. I later made friends, got to recording tacks in different studios until I enrolled in the Barber Program at Queen City College. There I got connected with Amos Johnson Jr...Jay b.k.a. FAMO..CEO of Destined Fame Records. And started producing, writing, and singing with him. Also, Lemontae Watson and Maria Gordon in a friendly sing out in front of the school. I have since then graduated from Queen City College and Lemontae, Maria, and I have been singing, writing, and recording ever since.Music is not just my passion, it’s my life. I’m not just wanting to be what’s hot right now but also good memories in the future! I want to leave a life-lasting impression on people like The O’Jays, Marvin Gaye, The Marvelettes, Etta James, Otis Redding. I want to be able to raise my kids on what we now call good “old school” music. I truly believe that can help bring back to the music world what it’s been missing and that is LOVE!! Music is not all about the big rims and flashy cars, but it’s all about loving something or somebody and knowing that something or somebody loves you back. It’s filled with break-ups and make ups; real life stories. So with that being said, I want to thank you for this opportunity to share my life, my music with you, I hope that you enjoy.Myspace Layouts @ JellyMuffin.com
