The Liaison
Hailing from Miami “The Liaison” started his musical journey at a very young age. Growing up in Florida he was heavily influenced by the sound that engulfed the area. “I grew up deep in everything whether it was electronic, soul, or old school hip hop…..everything from Stevie Wonder, Timbaland, J-Dilla, to Radiohead and Sun-Ra… I just had a love for all good music.“ The importance of these influences became clear after beginning his own production. Going on to work with various local producers and artist “The Liaison” began to grow with his art. After a chance meeting in a local studio he met M.A., and shortly after formed Sedis Recordings. “We just worked well together , and everything we made was clever and different from all the mediocrity that’s coming out” says “The Liaison” referring to his business associate and music. “It just made sense that we would start the company and pursue our goals.”

Born and raised in New York City, Brooklyn (Prospects Heights) bred artist M.A. is no stranger to hip hop music. Watching neighbors Foxy Brown, Biggie, and Jay-Z careers he always took his songwriting seriously. Always known as an local lyricist from battles and performances, he eventually moved on to find greener pastures. “I always loved Miami, and I saw the scene out there growing so fast…..so I eventually packed my things and made my way from Brooklyn to Miami” says M.A. about the move that chanced everything. M.A. arrived and immediately hustled to build and network while getting his name out. He met “The Liaison” and they formed the rap/producer group SEDIS (pronounced Sa-diss). “His beats complimented my style so closely, it was a no-brainer” mentions M.A. about the music. “The music we make is undeniable.”
