About Me

I am a writer and I love it. Done a bit of everything - my most 'famous' (the term is relative) work is 'Desires' - a collection of erotically themed short stories about crips, love and sex. Available now - see blog!Just finished work on a radio play and all sorts now ticking along.Yes I am a disabled person. Proud of who I am, being disabled is part of me. No big deal.Currently have a travel bug - come on someone fly with me :)Love music - especially World, Dance and lots of crossover at the mo. I have made records - google Spiral Sky and my band of yesteryear pops up. I was briefly big in Italian indie scene, for the obligatory 5 mins. Hoping to make it available here and on CD soon.I think I am in turns lively or deeply melancholic which is annoying to my friends, but I am very lucky on that front as I have some treasures who are there for me no matter what. I know I am quite unconventional.I try and live my life with passion - that is my key word. We must enjoy, laugh, cry but make sure we try and live to the full. I like laughing, being gently sarcastic and being in love. Which yes, I am looking for again, after 2 biggies, and other colourful um... adventures in that mad playground.

My Interests

Film, music, theatre, book, travel, friends, and depending on mood - quiet countryside with a loved one - or a pulsing London spot with mates, larking about.

I'd like to meet:

People with humour, passion, sharp brains, quick tongues and good hearts who I can banter and connect with. I'm a soppy old thing really, but always need a challenge.

Music:

Royksopp, Underworld, Nick Drake, Bob Marley.... etc. Yesterday it was Gershwin and Ian Dury. I like more thant I do not like. Which is purile tack or anything too pompous.

Movies:

Too many too mention. Recently rewatched Magnolia, a fine and clever film. Tend to watch films with my writer's eyes and ears - but it doesn't spoilt the fun :) Like a well made epic - LOTR.

Television:

Don't watch much, just dip in. Mostly drama and documentaries.

Books:

Too many to mention. Anais Nin, David Lodge, Angela Carter, Hilary Mantell.... Currently reading Northern Lights by Philip Pullman - wow.

Heroes:

Not sure I accept the concept hehe. My friends are very heroic.

My Blog

Sex

I am wondering if I put the dreaded three letter word as my subject will more people find my blog? Of course I write about sex. I can be lecherous when the mood strikes me, or a person tempts me. I we...

A drama like the sea

Autumn fillls me with a soft melancholy that is somehow sweet to savour. Today the air was crisp in the sharp chilly sun, and pushed my thoughts to the coming winter. I wonder if it will be...

Living your own drama

At least the sun keeps me in a good mood, though as hints of Autumn appear on the trees of Islington, I rather enjoy the tinge of melancholy it puts underneath everything. There's a small rowan tree b...

A day of changes

Angel was quite empty today, though rather disproportionately full of screaming kids. Everything went smoothly... even in the Job Centre. So, almost, I am now a self-employed person. Was it a good idea...
