SAFKAN ist eine bis dato einzigartige neue Rockband, bestehend aus deutschen und türkischen Mitgliedern, gegründet vom türkischen Rocksänger Timur Safkan.
"SAFKAN" bedeutet im Deutschen "Vollblut" und spiegelt vollends Timurs Leidenschaft für Rockmusik wider! Aufgewachsen in Istanbul und als Jugendlicher nach Deutschland gekommen hatte er schon früh die Vision einer Musik, die die Energie und Gradlinigkeit westeuropäischer Rockmusik mit der Emotionalität und kulturellen Vielfalt türkischer Musik vereint. Aus dieser Vision heraus ist die Band SAFKAN entstanden.
SAFKAN is a unique and new Rockband, consisting of German und Turkish members, founded by the Turkish Rocksinger Timur Safkan.
"Safkan" means "thoroughbred" in English and describes Timur’s devotion to rock. Having grown up in Istanbul and come to Germany as a youngster, he envisioned a music that combined the straight energetic feel of western rock music with the emotions and the cultural diversity of Turkish music. The band SAFKAN arose from this vision.
