About Me

Wazzuuuup! My name is Tim aka TIMM (The Innovative Music Master) aka RicSupreme. I am the one-time producer of Chuck Platinum and P. Holla, better known as Uptown Nation. Prior to Uptown Nation I was also a producer/rapper for a group called DVS, which had a following in the Bronx area during the years we were active, 1987 - 1994. That group consisted of myself, then known as T.Ricky, Duane (D.Ski) Evans, Richard (BomBlaster) Reid and sometimes Tony (MC TAPP) Foster. I have been into music since I was a little kid, playing drums, bass, keyboards, even the clarinet! I didnt really get serious into this producing stuff until 1987, which was the beginning of DVS. We had many songs together, did a whole lot of shows and had notoriety in the NYC area. Things really took off in 1989 when I got my first sampler, a Roland S10. Now I was able to do things that I only dreamed of... like using James Brown samples (The norm for hip hop back then) and use them my own way, among many other things. I did so many things with that sampler it's ridiculous...I still own that sampler today... god it's primitive! LOL! Anyhow fast forward to 1992. Enter my nephew Jamal (now known as P. Holla, and Chuck (now known as Chuck Platinum). Jamal was working with me with on some music at the time and told his partner Chuck about me and basically wanted to put a group together. They called themselves "Uptown Nation" and from 1992 to 1998 we had a hell of a catalogue. In 1994 Chuck asked if he could try producing, and since I wanted both of them to take it to the next level, I showed him exactly how it was done. From there, he became the proficient and talented producer you hear today that I am very proud of. He has completely taken it to the next level like I thought he would. Since then it has been non stop for them. In 2000 I left NYC, gave up music due to a failed record deal, and moved upstate. Chuck Platinum and P. Holla have carried on the torch, bringing in new talent as well as continuously honing their own craft. They have made me very proud. In 2003 I began doing music again but this time with my new musical partner, Oscar Davis. Collectively we are known as Brand New Old School. We have done many gigs in the Central NY area and are in the process of releasing an album called "Tribute". Once again, I am at the helm, producing this project as well. My Interests

Tearing down, building and rebuilding computers, producing, cars, and reading good books.

I'd like to meet:

Hmmm... first and foremost, the rhyme animal himself, Chuck D. I have such a huge amount of respect for this man and followed his career... he has done so much for our youth and our people it's riduculous... and we won't even discuss his productions with Public Enemy and the Bomb Squad... was "Rebel With out A Pause" one of, if not THE dopest tracks in hip hop? Also Pete Rock... because I have always loved his style of production... at one time I tried to emulate it but was unscuccessful in my attempts... Phil Collins... after I heard "In The Air Tonight" in 1983, and realized who he was, it inspired me to become the best drummer I could ever be... and when I found out he played keys...oh man! I knew I wanted to be just like him....and Michael Jackson... at one time he was my idol, I wanted to be just like him and loved everything he did and I own everything he has ever recorded...Watch out yall cuz the planets are lining up and he's gonna make a glorious comeback!... I dont care what nobody sez.. Mike is STILL the man!
