My name is Jake Nugent; I am a composer/pianist. I have been composing for about three and a half years. I just finished one year at the Boston Conservatory, and as it wasn't the best place for me, I am now composing and writing songs for various things. recordings are coming, but please excuse my out-of-tune singing.

Sand Dunes and Fire and Ice are two songs of a Song Set which was an assignment here at the conservatory. I set two Robert Frost poems to music. The vocal line was for a pre-chosen junior singer, and the composers each had to write according to what their singer's appropriate ranges and styles were best fitting. I hope you like the outcome.====================================================

I wrote Impromptu in sets of improvisations, hence the name. There are two climaxes in which the first supports the 'false ending' which is a main idea of the piece.
