About Me

Ed began playing drums at the age of twelve, by the age of fourteen he was playing with numerous covers bands throughout England and Wales. After High school Ed completed a National Diploma in Music before moving to London. He then went on to complete a music degree achieving a 1st with honours specialising in drums, where he was tutored by several highly successful musicians including the jazz drummer Peter Cater.Throughout his musical life, Ed has played in countless bands ranging in styles from funk fusion to hardcore punk. Recently Ed has been in the studio doing demo tracks for various artists including Jo Webb, Cyrus Gabrysch and Pete Cunnah (formerly of D:Ream). At the moment he is gigging regularly with Jo Webb and Rosalie Deighton (Chrysalis) among others and teaches in Swindon (as Head of drums – Swindon college) and throughout West London.Ed’s first inspirations were from drummers such as Joe Morello (Brubeck), Jimmy Chamberlin (pumpkins) and Mitch Mitchell (Hendrix). More recent influences include artists such as Sergio Mendes, Beth Carvahlo, Cassiya, Boban Markovic and Nigel Kennedy (with the Kroke band).
