Originality is hard to come by these days in the music world. You have the same riffs, breakdowns, and cliche lyrics. However, Roma brings a sense of their own sound to the table. With epic chants, fast fret work, and a live show that will entangle you in a fit of emotions ranging from rage to ecstacy; somberness to contentment. Roma, consisting of Cody Rosscup on guitar, Matt Bertram on bass, and Kyle Murray on drums, will have you nodding your head and tapping your foot. Their demos, entitled "The Orange Elephant Tree", describes a story of a life of heartbreak, drugs, and the shallowness of the people.
Starting in November of 2006 in a bedroom in Ocean Springs, MS, the three decided to write what they wanted to write and break the standard sound of todays independent rock scene. All three being influenced by different bands and artists, The sounds produced that day stuck with them. They wrote and wrote until they were happy with their work, and headed into the studio to demo. With songs like "City in the Clouds" and "My Angels, My Demons", They decided to unveil them to the world; each song containing its own progressive flow. The three are currently playing shows and are about to release their debut EP "Good Machine. Bad Machine". So go to a show, talk to the guys, dive into the stories they provide, and remember how music can spark some amazing feelings.
