My name is George and I am a working geologist with a brand new MS in geophysics.
I spent a great deal of my formative years in earthquake prone Southern California. I guess living in a tectonically highly active zone made me passionate about learning all I could about what makes geologic events happen. Other than my rather quirky obsession with geologic events and the sciences in general - I'm a fairly typical guy. I love hanging out with my friends, good movies, great music, interesting books, playing RPG games, and sleeping when I can spare an hour or two for something I consider to be fairly useless. lol! I get asked one particular question so often I've decided to include the answer in this *about me* section. I make the money I need to support myself by working full time as a field geologist and cartographer. To quote Starman - *I make maps!* lol I really love my job as it involves crossing a lot of rough terrain and rock climbing which keeps me in pretty good physical condition without spending hours sweating in a gym! So no, I can't really offer any great workout tips, diets, exercises, running plans, or otherwise advise you on a new gym routine! That is - unless you want to come mountain climbing with me every day for about 6 months? Because that's what my job requires!! lol
