About Me

DISCLAIMER:
Not all of the Artwork currently on this website is of my own design. Music by DEAD CAN DANCE
This space is deadicated to "The Darkest Knight", the first of the series of the "Dark Times" Trilogy, my first novels. The series is (primarily) a Fantasy fictional work.
It is a place to find out about the mythos behind the works, of the characters involved in the story and - of course - for you to read the book itself, which will be uploaded chapter by chapter into the "Blog" section.
Based upon the ideas and characters featured in the "Dark Times Roleplaying Game" by [Real Name witheld; MySpace handle: MONKEYJIM], "The Darkest Knight" follows the story of 'Noctus', last of the Fair Folk in a land where magic is dying. A member of the mysterious "Shadonian Order", Noctus is a Knight-Sorcerer who's very birth has set an unavoidable and unclear fate before him.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hi, My name's Bloodmooon. I'm a motorbike-riding, role-playing, sci-fi and fantasy-loving writer-artist. Jack of some trades and master of none, you can find my personal MySpace page HERE
THE MAIN CHARACTERS
(Updated as the story progresses)
NOCTUS: Last of the Fair Folk to exist in the world of Man, Noctus is the main character in the story. Raised in the lands of Man by his father and trained in the ways of the mysterious 'Shadonian Order', Noctus is a Knight-Sorcerer proficient in the ways of combat and 'The Art'. Struggling to survive in a world which does not understand or accept him, he is nevertheless a bringer of light in the darkness.
TOMMY MORSDEN: A young human orphan boy who becomes Noctus' ward early in the story, Thomas (or 'Tommy' as he prefers to be called) is a spirited, resourceful child who shares Noctus' sense of not belonging.
LUNATHIAN, "THE DARK RIDER": This mysterious and murderous being is the main antagonist at the beginning of the story and brings misery and darkness into the sleepy Human town of Haven. He is later revealed to be an "Obtenus", an undead mockery of a Shadonian Knight.
QUEEN SHADINA OF THE UNSELEE : Noctus' stepmother and a powerful and merciless leader of Elves. For reasons unclear at the beginning of the story she first seeks Noctus' death and later his capture. Leader of the Elven lands of Ath, she battles against the Selee Elves. She is a powerful and ancient Sorceress.
IANNA BROOK : A Human Priestess of Eleanor, she first meets Noctus and Tommy when she is attacked by bandits and saved by Noctus. She travels with the two to the town of Westbridge.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who loves to read and write fiction is very, very welcome here. I'd love people to leave comments and (constructive) critisism to tell me what they think. Please be aware that in reading this, you are getting a "raw draft" before it is proof-read and sent to press. There are liable to be a few spelling and grammatical mistakes but please, try to ignore them and enjoy the story. It is the story and it's players that are important here, as people's reactions to my work may very well influence future chapters!

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

Any budding artists out there who love to draw in a fantasy style and who would like to get some free showcasing for their work, I will be looking for anyone who would like to provide portrait work for the main characters in the story. If you would like to do this, please send me a message and we can discuss. Obviously, this would not affect any future copyright of images on the artists behalf as I will only hold the intellectual rights. I know MySpace has its fair share of superb artists, so please feel free to drop me a message!
