About Me

My name is Vince and I'm a tee shirt designer. And a bunch of other stuff as well, including a database administrator, a fairly keen longbow archer, and all that.I was born in Buenos Aires, ages and ages ago in 1963. I can actually say where I was when JFK was shot. Just barely, but I can hold my head up high and say it, for what it's worth.Anyway, my family moved to Australia when I was eight (taking me with them, obviously) and I lived there until I was 26. At that point, my then girlfriend dumped me, and being faced with the choice of either running into her all the time, or (shudder!) moving to Melbourne, I decided to go back to Argentina.
It sounded like a good idea at the time, being a suitably dramatic gesture and all that. A softer option than the foreign legion, and with less flies. But it was a bit of a downer, as places go. Mind you, it kinda grows on you, after a good long while. And after that, I started to move around. I've lived mostly in Milan, but have also spent time living or trying to, in Hong Kong, Sicily and London.
I'm now in Wellington, NZ, trying to start my own line of T-Shirts.
Anyway, I'm also really into the acoustic bass guitar (ABG) and I'm playing in a band called This Charming Mystery. Playing bass was one of the discoveries of my life, I never realized I could love something so much, that Summer morning when a girlfriend bought me my first electric bass from a pawnshop over twenty years ago. I broke up with the girlfriend a lifetime ago, but I still play that bass every now and then! :)

Rejected Album Cover: Anybody Want It?

I drew this for a friend's band last night. But it was rejected because it was deemed unacceptable for sale in places like Walmart. Too racy, apparently. It's a shame to see work go to waste, so ...

Dog defies Strat-Attack Dragon!

Took me ages to get the dragon's neck reasonably smooth, and it's all about the dog, really. The water looks nice too, in a Japanesey sort of way. I'm rather fond of the sky, I was after a Folon type...

Stratocaster Lighthouse

I've decided to put up some of the pictures I do with Photoshop on my blog thingie, simply because I'm not using it for anything and because I'd sort of like people to actually look at them. They...

Elevator

I'm pretty pleased with this one.     Normally, I do a rough sketch with a biro or whatever I can find quickest and then use vectors for the actual drawing ("vectors" are circles...
