-------------------- Nono "El que La Liga Controla" [Mata Liga Ent : Owner, Rapper] [Loyal Fam New England: Leader] --------------------Steven Cruz know better in this world as Nono "El que La Liga Controla" was born in Boston, Mass on Nov 17, 1991. He was raised in the streets of Boston listening to "Reggaeton and Latin Hip-pop and Hip-Pop" to artist like "Tempo, Vico C, Nas, Tupac, Lito y Polaco and many more". In the year 2001 he started listening to reggaeton more than Hip-pop because he liked the style of reggaeton.
In the year of 2004 "Nono" started to write his own reggaeton songs influences by his brother "Chico" from (Letraz Fina Enterprize ). In the winter of 2005 "Nono" decided to start his own label along with his friend "Mateo". They decided to name the record label (Bosstown Muzik) they kept writing songs and recording them. Some songs they recorded was "Da vill is where itsz at" and "Te quiero" . In the Spring of 2006 they meet a singer named "Shorty". He was a 14 year old puertorican with a nasty voice. They started working together on songs. At that time they also met another rapper name "Martez".
In the summer of 2006 they noticed they Really wanted to be in the music industry so they decided to change the record label’s name to (Mata Liga Enterprize). They changed the name to make a better name for a record label that sounded more professional. The name was made up by "Nono y Martez" (The two Co founders of the label) "Mateo" was the first member of the Mata Liga Streetteam and "Shorty" was the first artist signed to (Mata Liga Enterprize). In the summer of 2006 they met a producer/ English rapper named "Blessed 1 Stylez". "Nono, Martez and Shorty" started working on songs together produced by "Blessed 1 Stylez" The first song they recorded was "Mas que Amigo" which was a hit.
After a month of that song "Nono, Martez y Shorty" had to brake up due to a few problems in the label. So "Nono y Martez" Stayed in the label and became a duo and "Shorty" left to (2ble Mela Musick). "Nono y Martez" did a lot of hits like "Amor Escolar" and "Tu Cuerpo" . "Nono y Martez" started gaining thier respect in the street by freestyle battles in the streets, by promoting hard, and by performing in a few places like "the Puerto Rican Festival in boston" and "Northeastern college". They had alot of peolple from deifferent races really starting to like the reggaeton style.
Then in the winter of 2007 "Shorty" had problem in (2ble Mela Musick) so he spoked to "Nono" wanting to join (Mata Liga Enterprize) again. So "Nono" had a meeting with all his artist and they decided to let "Shorty" join again. Also at that time they also signed another artist which is the first lady in (Mata Liga Enterprize) which is "Jazy". "Jazy y Shorty" decided to become a duo with the idea brought up by "Nono y Martez". With a few hitsz coming real soon!
In the Spring of 2008 "Martez" presented to "Nono" a young dude named "BLady" with a voice that gives you chills. "Nono" heard the voice and decided to sign him because he loved the voice. So "Martez y Blady" decided to become a duo and "Nono" a solo artist because "Nono" is Moving to Miami, Floirda with the rest of his family in sept of 2008.
"NOno" is moving to Miami but styll is the owner and rapper of (Mata Liga ENterprize). He will continue his dream in Miami and keep in contact with his artist in Boston. He is hopeing to find more artist in Miami and gettin (Mata Liga Enterprize) known in Boston as well as in Miami and all the other states. So stay tuned because (Mata Liga Enterprize) is suppose to make a big impact in the muzik industry with thier mixtape coming out in the summer of 2008 "La Nueva Liga" Featuring alot of the Boston local artist and a few apperances in a few mixtapes, albums and dvd's....
