I am here for Networking

About Me

After a 30 year career in PR / politics / public affairs in Washington, London and the former Soviet Union -- including 8 years running a successful web design company, I chucked it all to become a full time history nerd. I now work as a consultant / producer / designer for historical film and TV documentaries and also do historical costume design for film and run a film wardrobe rental house as well as a history-focused production services company (you've probably seen some of my work on The History Channel and didn't know it - those credits zoom by pretty fast).
For more info on my company, visit our website www.HeritageHouseProductions.com
CLEYDAEL I left DC Beltway-land and moved to Cleydael, a small yet historic antebellum plantation house 70 miles from metro DC, where I live with a wide assortment of critters: 5 horses, 4 dogs, 4 cats, two sheep (one of whom thinks she's a dog), two room-mates /co-workers and their pets, and one crotchety old cavalry reenactor. and And sometimes a friendly ghost or two...(didn't believe in them until I ended up with a couple as roomies.) We're on the John Wilkes Booth escape route tour run by the Surratt Society .

My Interests

Vonnegut is Dead - So it goes.....

Fair and balanced - yay.

It sort of gives me a warm fuzzy comforting feeling that MySpace is now owned by Fox.  Rather a nice counter-balance to the leftward slant of YouTube, which apparently keeps censoring / blocking ...

'To Die For' Stuff -- bitching from an aging curmudgeon

When you think about it, "to die for" is the ultimate in stupid, over-used slang expressions. A selection of options that come up when  Googling the phrase: "To die for double-chocolat...
