Shon G became interested in djing when he saw videos & films of the early hip hop dee jays. He was fascinated with their style and manipulation of the vinyl(wax). He loved the way the crowds reacted to the way the dj performed whether it was scratching, mixing, etc. Starting out doing street promotions & his own party tapes on a two to three a month basis which lead to various house parties, picnics and bar-b-ques at the same time gaining more street credibility. This in turn led to djing various club & widely reconized community activities as well as other functions in both the public and private sector.Which eventually led to radio as an on-air personality with 860 WNOV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin co-hosting an evening slot with another on air personality from 6-9pm.Within that same year hosting his own weekend show Saturdays from 5-8pm called The Weekendz With Shon G. Which also lead to a weekly slot show from 6-9pm called Da G. Spot.
