About Me

i play some piano. i took lessons when i was young but wasn't truly interested at all until they were over. started playing by ear because versions of songs i heard on tape were more soulful than the sheet music. listened to a lot of jodeci, brian mcknight, and shai back in the day. i ventured into writing music in my head and my first pieces resembled simple movie scores. i've always loved memorable movie themes and their abilities to cover the spectrum of romance, action, mystery, and sadness ... recently, i was most inspired by matthew bellamy of muse. he sings and plays unbelievable guitar and piano. i LOVED that he infused classical-like melodies with rock ... i never knew you could play so loud and powerful with a piano. i thought you could only rock out with an electric guitar. since i wasn't pickin up the guitar as fast as i would've liked, i went back to the piano and started releasing unspoken words and energy. these recordings are very bad ... me and my cousin jus put this silly laptop mic next to a piano at his house. the songs weren't even refined to "recording" quality, but i was happy for the moment. i hope to record more under better circumstances (and better equipment), but fer now ... this is what i got! peace.
