I love to play the drums. I am known as a 'drum whore,' but lately I have been trying to become a high dolla ho! I am currently working with many bands. I am trying to limit it a little bit for sake of quality and for my own sanity... I work with Ken Valdez out of Santa Fe. We have done a little bit of touring into Colorado and around a little bit of New Mexico since I took on the gig. I have lots of fun playing his stuff... We will be playing at the tin star in santa fe on the 22nd of december. We are doing a radio thing on friday morning on Albuquerque's famed 94.1 rock station. I have to be there at eight, but I don't know when we're on. I normally do a coffee house gig at java joe's on saturday mornings from 11 to 1 to keep the jazz chops in line. Ben Martinez is the guru leading that madness. I work with The David Kurtz band, the Duke city band, and Restless at various venues around the Albuquerque area. Mucho Buddha is one of my favorite workhorse bands in the area which keeps me pretty busy from time to time, and of course no blog is complete if you forget to mention DarrellX, the two drummer sensation. I have recently picked up a fusion gig down in silver city, NM, called the COnduit trio, and I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to work with those guys. I have recently done jam session drum hosting with Steve Best, Jimmy Jones, and Odd Dog. Those are always fun. I do acoustic hand drum accompaniment with Steve Kinabrew and with Ken Valdez. I did a motown revue with a band called the New Yesterdays Band back in October, and that was a cool cool gig. This year I have played many a note, and I'm not intending to slow down as long as my health is goot. Blog Blog Blog?
