Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota where I kind of hit a dead end after high school as far as what to do with my life. That is when My Three Scums saved me. It was an extreme comedy horror cable access show that some friends and I created. A small nuclear family of zombies, freaks and killers that all lived together and had to try and get by in society. Needless to say, half the town loved it and the other half well...hated it so much they wanted to kill us. Seriously, there were death threats!At any rate I discovered my love for filmmaking through the Scums. Troma Entertainment in New York saw an episode and liked it enough to invite me to come out and work on their next film. While there, I learned the craft of special makeup fx while I was pursuing a filmmaking career. I continued working in New York City for a couple years steady in makeup fx. Eventually, it was time to move to Los Angeles. That is where I've been since, working on over 30 movies and several TV series in special makeup fx. I also continued making short films and writing scripts. Currently, I have my first feature, Strange Nature slated to shoot this fall, back in Minnesota.Some movies I've worked on:Where the Wild Things Are,
