R.I.P.
The Murder Cadence was originally a metal band entitled Before I Die. With the addition of Cheyne Truitt on vocals and Travis Orbin on the drumset, it matured and blossomed into the abrasive, complex band featured here. TMC eventually evolved into a more simplistic version of itself, know as Ascend In Red. There was basically a revolving door of members, with the only staples being Taylor Larson on guitar and Travis on drumset.
The recordings above (circa first quarter 2004) are all home demo "one-takers" (on all of the respective instruments). A few mics were positioned on the drumset, one in the room and then the tape was left to roll. We had not rehearsed these tunes much, but we are fortunate to have them documented.

Finally, these recordings are taken from the home demo/first quarter 2004 session. They are brief interludes, as we had a concept album in mind. The "Top Gun Riff (LEVEL CHECK)" is exactly what the title suggests: a level check, not our attempt at a decent performance :-)
