Hi, my name is Zareh aka Reno Karimian. I'm an Armenian kid from Glendale, born and raised in southern California who has had a passion for motorcycle racing since the age of 16. I was introduced to racing at a young age and I raced my first race when I was 18 at Willow Springs; I have dedicated my life to the sport since then. To be an Armenian and to have a passion for racing have at times clashed, with family and friends trying to persuade me to quit the sport. Since I started later in the game than most professional riders, and since I lacked the support from family and even most friends, I have had to struggle to make my dream a reality. Nonetheless, I have pushed forward with my dream and more than a decade later, my desire to race has only grown and my passion only deepened.
During the 2006 AMA season, I had the opportunity to work closely with the Matsushima Performance team, during which time I achieved my career-long goal of completing a full race season on the national level. My best finish was at Laguna Seca, where I placed 21st in the Superstock class. Today, I'm working on cultivating my own team -- Team Reno -- and am aggressively seeking out sponsorship.
Throughout this journey, I have met many incredible people who have lent a hand and helped me out and I want to thank them all for their support. This year I'm going all out to be the best I can possibly be and I invite you to join me on my quest for success.
