About Me

Well, I suppose I'll start from the beginning. I spent the first ~16 years of my life in rural upstate NY. From there I lived in northern DE until circumstances brought me back to upstate NY in 2002, landing me a mere 45 miles from where I started. The past 5 years I have been learning how to play guitar, how to advance myself as a writer/artist, and how to live my life as peacefully as possible. Although life has thrown me many obstacles, I try to remain as optimistic as possible. In spring of 2006 I moved to Minneapolis to be with the most talented, wonderful person I have ever met. We lived there for a year. We recently moved back home to upstate NY. It's funny how you keep ending up where you started.

My Interests

Guitar, old SAAB's and Volvo's, Djembe, writing, laughing, trying to get Mason to teach me how to stunt drive, trying to make people smile, painting, rainbow stars, tattoos and body modification, framing, rock climbing, trying to find a way to sleep like a normal person, etc.

I'd like to meet:

Ani Difranco, Hamell on Trial, Toshi Reagon, my best friend in heaven when I die (R.I.P. Keri Byrne 12/6/82-1/11/00), a doctor that can help me sleep properly....

Music:

I listen to everything with the exceptions of country and 80's metal. Screaming men in spandex and people without an ounce of optimism do nothing for me.

Television:

TV is bad. It's all about selling you things you don't need. It has nothing to do with entertainment anymore..Sorry kids, I have better things to do than watch "reality TV". I'd rather make my own reality. I do however enjoy Family Guy, South Park, Robot Chicken and other adult humor, but that is what DVD's and the internet are for.

Books:

Anything by Neil Gaiman, The Celestine Prophecy (the whole series), I'll pretty much read anything....

Heroes:

My "adopted" parents; Jude and Dan Byrne.
