playing beats,melodies and notes from the top of our heads sometimes in awe of our own creations, sometimes lost again from what was initially found. Stereosakit is a band with much discordance.Hence the name.What started out as an after school activity became a serious aspiration,and when it's come to that,serious decisions were needed to be made.and not all of them have been made with the guidance of experience..naivity more like it.Kamil,Azam and Khairi were schoolmates in Bukit Bintang,a school where kids would jam every Saturday morning and for some,weekday mornings and/or nights.Stereosakit started when Azam got a drumset and the weekend activity was messing around with kamil's dd-6 and some riffs.Smashing Pumpkins,My Bloody Valentine and Butterfingers were the main listen at the time for these even-though-post-grunge-days-new-age-metal-rather kids.Azam then met Nizam in A-Levels,an awesome dude who also happened to be an awesome bassist. After lots of missed classes,Kamil's final project in SAE,a track by track recording task,called upon us to record our first ever track.And this meant a song name and a band name would be required.Nizam suggested the name Stereosakit,which we all felt without any doubt.Which was how we always felt then.Khairi has left to Dubai,Nizam to India to pursue a dentistry certification.Kamil,who sometimes worked jobs as audio engineer met Hadi who used to play with Komplot,also an experienced and connected engineer in the music business.Who's also brother to guitarist now,Dwen. Hadi was working on a compilation effort by some industry mogul dude who's credited to Akademi Fantasia or watever and Kamil played the old recording we had on myspace since before we went on hiatus.The Man dude liked it and offered us to record 2 songs for the compilation.This seemed like a great thing to push us out of inactivity thus we agreed to it.Recruiting Hadi as the bassist and Dwen his brother as guitarist,in place of Nizam and Khairi.A vocalist was needed to so Kamil called upon Taufiq,who used to sing in his band during SM Bukit Bintang days.
