About Me

The charismatic, multilingual rapper, Aruba Bandit, also known as Python was born on November 15, 1980 as Javan D. Arrindell in Brooklyn N.Y. Because of life altering circumstances, at the age of eight, he moved to the beautiful island of Aruba with family; residing in the town of San Nicolass. Influenced by his mother aka (Bambi) and his uncle Keith, Bandit’s music career started at the age of fourteen; performing with his mother’s Hip Hop group called, “Bambi’s”. This lead to Bandit starting his own rap group called, “The Crooklyn Boys” (TCB). “The Crooklyn Boys”, consisted of Bandit, and his long time childhood friend D.O.G, (Da Original Gangster). Inspired by each others persistence and drive, they were determined to get into the rap game; the duo practiced rhythmic flow, and word play day in and day out. TCB would compete in talent shows, performing reggae chanting and hardcore rapping; this earned them numerous wins. In 1996, Bandit moved back to Brooklyn, New York to continue his schooling and pursue his musical goals. Bandit graduated from Erasmus Hall H.S in which he continued his education receiving his Associates Degree in Business Management/ Computer Technology at Interboro Institute. Quickly adapting to Brooklyn’s diverse culture, Bandit pursued his love for hip-hop; performing in some of New York’s elite nightclubs, such as; Club Speed, Club Exit, Club N.Y, Club Pyramid and The Graham Resort. He also performed in Aruba’s top nightclubs, Club 2000, Carlos ‘n Charlie’s and Bahia…etc, just to name a few. Focusing on all aspects of the entertainment business, Bandit began organizing and hosting talent shows and fashion events. His biggest event, as he recalls, was at the Original Levi’s flagship store, located in New York City; where he organized a modeling and fashion show to boost store sales. His persistence to release his first album was not in vain. Bandit’s debut album, “The Demo”, was released in 1998; introducing his Unique hip-hop style and lyrical capabilities to the world. Tracks like “We Back”, which features his mother Bambi, and “Rah Rah”, became a major radio success in Aruba, and was the first ever regularly rotated radio single. After spending a few years rebuilding and reconditioning his group, as well as his record label, in 2002 Bandit created his new group called “5th Quarter” Records, and launched his album entitled, “Lyrical Demonstration”. The album displays the diversity of Bandit’s quad lingual talent; rapping in Papiamento, Spanish, Dutch and English. His ambitions to reach musical heights lead him to release the follow-up album “Let’s Get Down to Business”. In 2005 Bandit released his smashing hit entitled, “I’m from Aruba”; which quickly became the most requested hit on Aruba’s radio stations; claiming him international attention. “I’m from Aruba” catapulted Bandit to Aruba’s top 100 hit list; expediting the release of the song as a single, to Bandit’s independent label “5th Quarter” Records. The single appeared on a collaborative album entitled “I got a story to tell” which featured 5th Quarter’s recording artists; Jinx, Schav and Dre. Following the Natalee Holloway case, in 2006 Bandit released “The black and white album”; which included his most controversial song “My pride”. The song was written to defend the people of Aruba against the backlash they received involving the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, an American student, from Mountain Brook, Alabama, who disappeared during an school outing. Unfortunately Ms. Holloway was never found. At present, Bandit and his business partner Anthony “Hollywood” Caruth are working on film and music projects. Bandit’s newly released album, “The TakeOva” is currently available on I-Tunes; this album features artists such as, Christopher William II, A.M.O.R and Track Daniels……..“Every Legend has a beginning, this is his”.
