Shanghai starts collecting records in New York in 1999, while in High School, and spaces from 90's hiphop to 70's soul funk and jazz. What started as a passion quickly degenerates into an addiction, and in 2005, after moving to Milan, in Italy, her new acquaintances convince her to try djing at a local club of the city. After having hosted a show at her college radio station for a year she finally decides to play live and since then has been spinnin in the funkiest clubs in Italy and abroad, opening for local hiphop artists or showcasing the tunes in her collection for the dancing pleasure of the crowd!
