About Me

Radio Earthquake was Dan's idea, but it was me (Frank) that made it possible. We have a psycotic Captain - Brian Galac, an artistic Bosun - Fred Barnfield ( he painted the sub) and Chief Engineer Nigel Self who runs the engine room and Andreas Volt the studio engineer who helps the live bands in the recording studio. John Connor keeps us online, other people come and go including Dr Flak, our physician, Sandy Edwards from Rushall Healing Group, and Mack Fforre, (AKA Granddad Earthquake) Dan Earthquake presents most of the shows and has got to calling himself the Director General. Not many people know but when Greg Dyke left the BBC Dan applied for the vacant post. Needless to say the idiot was rejected, but it was amusing to hear David Dimbleby (who also applied for the job) say that there were 71 applicants and some of them were very strange, obviously a reference to Dan. Did anyone hear Ian Collins on TalkSport the other Thursday, early hours? He asked the public to call or text in to represent their area as part of a "UK Radio Parliament" promotion. Dan text in his website address as a CV. Collins read it out on air, describing Dan as a "Dodgepot." You could hear him scrunching the paper up and he told his producer not to include anymore people like that. And that's what I have to put up with. Of course, without me there would be no submarine and no station, which leads me to wonder why I bother with all the others. They amuse me, so far, so I let them stay.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.radioearthquake.com
Band Members: Brian Galac, Fred Barnfield, Nigel Self, Invisible Frank, Sandy Edwards, Dr Flak, Dan Earthquake, Mack Fforre (AKA Granddad Earthquake.)Radio Earthquake broadcasts by piggybacking onto satellite signals randomly from the submarine that constantly cruises around the coast of Britain. Sometimes we go on holiday though and broadcast to other parts of the world. We have constant links on www.radioearthquake.com and www.danearthquake.com/radioearthquake as well as a link into the main system on Walsall Hospital Radio.Seismic Secret is the resident band on the submarine, fronted by the ubiquitous Dan Earthquake who is also the least talented of the group. He ably hides behind the fantastic guitaring of Harry Kane and Richter Scale. The band have recorded three albums under the Radio Earthquake label:"Submarine Symphony (in B Flat)" "This band is not endorsed by NASA." "Enjoy Life."Production of a fourth album under our label is underway. For enquiries regarding recording/album production please contact our mainland contact Andreas Volt on 07851 767970
Influences: Influences? I am very impressed by Future Music (see link below) and their song "Lost and Sound." It's is superb, and I have put it to the top of my playlist. Also of note is Dj Syndrom/the Ikonz whose material is fantastic in it's originality and style. I've also become a great fan of IDEM, unique. Radio Earthquake broadcasts without adverts, news, travel or weather interruptions. I pay for the lot, so I play what I want and run the station how I please. I get different moods, so there's no set genre. Music broadcast is by permission of the copyright holders from live recordings made in the engine room studio or downloaded from their myspace site. Hey - it's easy so why not? Bootleggers don't get a good copy because of the background noise - some bands prefer to play with the Stealth Machine operating to get beter quality, but that's their choice. Recent negotiations with our favourite artists mean that we currently are featuring : Future Music, Seismic Secret, Amazing Willie & the Treehouse Gang, Francesca Davies, Ryan Helman, Just Messing, Lionel Fisk, Nigel Self, Kevin Ashcroft Band, The Sessions, The Scarbelly Blues Band, Tackeroo Junction, Den Payne, Crimson Joy, Ikonz, Shurfire, Maria Kizirian, NoNchalanT, Earl Okin, Contraste, Ilvyris, Stelth Bomber, Medina, Who is Bluegirl?, Burnin' Sands, IDEM, MAFI G, OxZide, Deathqunt, and Os Haxixens. Some of the artists are looking to be signed, others aren't. They all have my personal endorsement. We are listening to artists that come to our attention all the time. Our New website is up and running - www.radioearthquake.com. You can listen to some of our back shows here - otherwise you have to tune between the static of your local stations and see if you can pick us up. Randomisation of broadcast signal combined with our changing location mean that our audience changes continually. I am working closely with Radio Earthquake engineers Andreas Volt and John Connor to investigate a way to live broadcast our output from the site using the wireless connection via our satellite our secondary mainland facility. I'm told this will take some time, but will notify all our friends once this has been successfully achieved.Bands who wish to be featured on Radio Earthquake should send a message to me via this site with a downloadable tune on their myspace site that I can listen to.Regards,Invisible Frank (CEO Radio Earthquake)
Sounds Like: What radio should be: No adverts or interruptions for news, traffic reports or bulletins. The world could end whilst listening to us, and you wouldn't know. Why would you want to anyway?
