Well now for a bit of the history of Random Perception......Once upon a time in the land of Fishguard 3 very bored school boys decided to learn to play some instruments..... steve the guitar joe the bass and andrew the drums. We had a few jams which normally ended up with us playing micro machines on the megadrive so no progress was made! Then along came tom, some of you may know him as the basist of OK (who may i say are an awesome band) and he came along to jam with us tom kept us on the path to music making and off the path of the megadrive and getting pissed (well he tried to until we persuaded him to join us) we played quite a few gigs supporting bands like The Nightjars (OK) Dogzuki and Mindriff. The sad day came when tom decided that it was time for him to leave Random Perception. Now all the time we had been playing gigs we had a bitch who helped us to take our equipment to gigs he goes by the name of Geraint Davies (Granty) it suddenly became apparent that it would be a good idea for him to join the band as he knew our style and most of our songs and is a bloody good guitarist. We spent quite a while locked in darkness attempting to write some music but as joes mum sold the basement we had to move where we practised which was, for the time being, going to be at grantys house untill his dad had enough of us, which didnt take long!! We then discoverd a place called The Jam Shop which was just what we needed, somewhere we can make monkey noises and hit pots and pans together and not get any complaints (well not as far as we know). The time came when Random Perception were ready to gig again, the first gig was organised by Steve for charity and Steve's brothers band (Sudan 1) also played the gig was fantastic and loads of money was raised for a good cause!!! Of course all this time we were getting gigs and writing new material we knew that soon Andrew and Joe would be leaving us (not for good, oh no!) Andrew was going down-under to mingle amongst things that want to bite and hurt you (Australia) and Joe was going to Uni. It all came about too fast it was our last gig with Andrew and Joe, OK also played and yet again the night was a major success and Andrew and joe left on a high! Andrew will be coming back in June 2007 and we will see what happens when he returns!!!Anyhow that just left Steve and Granty! Enter Matt Cummings now matt recently spent millions of pounds ..s of Line 6 guitar equipment but being as Steve and Ger were the guitarists there was no need for a third so we managed to persuade Matt to play the bass, which he did! so that just left the search for a drummer. Steve was at home one day just pondering to himself whilst looking at the usual crap on the internet and asked one Mr Chris Clarke if he knew anyone who would like to play the drums for us, now as Chris was already a drummer he had all the kit, he took up the challenge of putting up with the rest of us idiots. So there you have it, thats the story of Random Perception i hope you have enjoyed reading it as my fingers kill from typing this much but hey!! anyway we are hoping to be doing some gigs in the beggining of the new year so keep an eye on here and as soon as we know you shall know!!!!
