About Me

Myron Bell commonly referred to as "Bell" has expressed a genuine love for music, particularly drumming since the tender age of 4. It was proven in his grandmother's home from literally beating up furniture, lamp shades, etc. After making a debut in his Grandfather's church at age 7, Bell continued cultivating his skills there as he learned the fundamentals of keeping time and rhythm. There were a few influences to help broaden his concept of drumming and what it eventually took to become an accomplished musician.Major influences such as Joel Smith, Bill Maxwell, Dana Davis, Mike Williams (Commissioned) and others who played an intricate part in the development of Bell's career and quest to become at least half the musicians they were and still are. Of course you have the Dave Weckyls, Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadds and a long list of others who have contributed to the industry in a huge way and who has inspired many drummers alike. However, there's nothing like that down home church, straight from the heart and soul sound that makes a difference, especially when the Anointing of God is behind it all. That is exactly the reason why so many of our Christian based musicians have taken the R&B, Jazz, Pop, Rock arenas by storm because of their strong Gospel roots!! (I believe)After being on good training ground at his home church (Mt. Everett C.O.G.I.C.) and playing behind his mother's (Evng. Charlene Bell) singing group, Bell moved on to the next phase. Immediately after completing high school, he started traveling with aunt, Vanessa Bell Armstrong. This was definitely a huge transition as things were a lot different from Sunday Mornings and local concerts. He quickly grasped the concept of playing on a professional level and learned how to be more show oriented as oppose to just playing in testimonial services!Since, Myron has been blessed to work with such artists as: The Clark Sisters, Winans Family, Thomas Whitfield Co., Rudolph Stanfield, Jr.,Fred Hammond, Deitrick and Gerald Haddon, Walter Hawkins,The Kurt Carr Singers, R&B sensation KeKe Wyatt, Aretha Franklin, Gordon Chambers (artist/songwriter), Conya Doss, Smooth Jazz artists:Tim Bowman, Alexander Zonjic, Ken Navarro, Alex Bugnon, Jeff Lorber, R&B/Jazz artist, Angela Bofill and many more!Myron is currently the musical director for his aunt, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and has also ventured into other facets of the industry. In addition to being a drummer, he is also sitting in the seat of songwriter/producer. Myron is also CEO of "SticktoIT Ent", a company that not only caters to the needs of Artists from a musician's corner but from a production standpoint as well. God is and has been faithful to the ministry of Myron Bell and there's nothing in the world that means more to him than pleasing God!
