Wez started his career as a musician at Drumtech (London). He then went on to study with renowned drum teacher Bob Armstrong for many years. In 2002, he moved to LA for one on one tuition with Joe Pocaro (co-director of drum studies at the Los Angeles Music Academy).
Between studying, Wez would also act as a drum tech to people such as
Steve White and Pete Riley on the clinic circuit.
In 2002 he formed his own drum school and has built
up a strong client base by word of mouth alone. He now has over 45 students and teaches from his own syllabus.
Alongside his teaching work, Wez has established himself as a session drummer, for both live shows and studio recording. Work at Ascape Studios (James Blunt, Do Me Bad Things), BBC Maida Vale and with Ryan Laubscher (Katherine Jenkins, Noise Next Door, Lauren Rose), has help further his reputation as a solid and versatile professional drummer who can work under pressure in the studio.
He is currently working with a number of bands for live performances, including the Mike Panos Blues Band, Nicky Moore (blues) c.b.k.s (funk), A.P.E (ambient) which ensures he is a regular on the live circuit.
