CURRENT WORK
About to shoot nobudget short film called "Meatcore" about a bachelor party & a woman with revenge on her mind.
Writing "Liar", a solo theatre show about a dysfunctional Nigerian family & televangelism, where I play the entire family! Did a pilot run of it in early Sep, which was mad crazy fun, yeah man!
Also writing "Venus & the Killer Bees", a bashment reggae opera for midscale theatre - imagine Romeo & Juliet, but with Black kickboxers. Waaay past my 1st draft deadline... eeek!
Also writing "Shiver", a long narrative ballad poem about African stowaways killed by the crew of a Russian freight ship, adapting Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
Also doing poetry gigs with a group of 5 Black guys called "Brothatalk" - we kickass mofo, in a progressive non-stereotypical Black male style of course!
& doin poetry gigs solo - supporting Linton Kwesi Johnson in November at Lancs Lit Fest

Hey, u eva notice that "Je ne regrette rien" is the same song as "My Way"? Ok, the tune's different, & the lyrics are different, but it's still the same thing, innit?
