Kais Bio:Born in Israel, Kai began studying piano and guitar at the young age of six. During his twenty-four years in Israel, he became known for his versatility in the fields of music and stage performance. At thirteen, Kai studied acting and mime at Bait-Rotchild School of Stage Arts and, by age fifteen, he was teaching the classes and performing on stage and television. Rock V-M was the name of Kais first band, which won several awards throughout Israels festival circuit including a contract with a leading production company. At twenty-one, he graduated at the top of his class and went on to record and perform with many well known Israeli artists such as: Asaf Amdurski, Nathan Cohen, Tislam and Aviv Gefen, in addition to performing with his own band. After taking a six-month course in audio engineering at the Institute of Audio Research in New York City (where he is now based) Kai started working for several recording studios including Electric Ladyland, Back Pocket Studios and Studio X. He was involved with projects such as Michael Wolffs Impure Thoughts, and Brian Jecksons Gotta Play. In 2001, Kai moved to Amsterdam, Holland to take a masters course in composition and sonology at The Royal Conservatory in Den Haag where he developed a multimedia stage performance called Tesis featuring interactive media in a live performance environment. This project evolved into the tracking of the album Tesis, which Kai now performs live for audiences in New York City. Influenced by many artists from Mozart to Marley and Bowie to Bjork, Kai thinks of his music as a cross-genre of indie rock and trip hop. He is presently working on a spiritual multimedia project with Israeli artist Barry Saharof along with co-writing/producing a chanting album to balance the chakras, which will be recorded in New York City.
