Kylie is an extraordinary performer and musician. With her history in Country Music, reputation and renewed passion, she is about to launch her new image and EP titled “NOBODY DON’Tâ€. Kylie is so excited about getting out there and reconnecting with her fans and delivering performances that will blow the audiences away.
Kylie was originally from Warwick, Queensland and discovered from a very young age that she connected with country music and commenced singing and playing the guitar. She was so focused on her music that she had completed her Australian Music Examination Board Certificates music and theory exams before leaving school.
She burst onto the Queensland Country Music Festival circuit and very quickly won accolades all over the state. The Festivals gave Kylie the opportunity to put her theory into practice and hone her performance skills and from that point on she didn’t look back. She commenced gigging throughout the Darling Downs and Toowoomba, performing in solo and duo line ups. The act very quickly became highly sort after.
In 1993 Kylie relocated to Beaudesert, Queensland and has gone from strength to strength. Not only has she performed with Reg Poole, Barry Thornton, Peter James and the industry respected, John Hughes Trio, she has played support to Lee Kernaghan. Kylie was stoked to be named in the Top 5 Finalists of Queensland’s Entertainer of the Year Award: Best New Talent. With all of this success she was approached by a NZ promoter and has captured the attention of the New Zealander’s and is planning to tour the land of the Long White Cloud on a regular basis. Kylie was also lucky enough to gain a place in the top 5 finalists at the 2009 Tiara Awards for songwriting.
Kylie has moved directions in the last couple of years slowing down her solo career and she has formed an outstanding duo with long time friend/student Kodie Maree. Kodie is a two time Telstra Road to Tamworth Finalist and has a promising career ahead. Together the two artists have formed a Duo “Left of Centerâ€, working all over Brisbane, Gold and Sunshine Coasts. Their vocal blend and harmonies have seen them be in demand for local venues but also Internationally.
Left of Center have recently released their debut Ep "Sitting Pretty" which has received a great response in Tamworth. The girls are hoping to tour through Queensland and New South Wales this year. This is an act to definatley keep an eye on!
2009 is going to be a big year for Kylie, with a new EP and a very determined mind, she is set to be one of the most sort after acts in the Country Music Industry. Her raw energy on stage and clever song selection is sure to expand her ever growing fan base.
