Art!,singing, fairies, unicorns, 'spiritual stuff',spinning til i fall over, healing in its many forms including; Crystal healing, Reiki (I'm trained in Reiki & hoping to start proffesional practice soon), neo-paganism (only useing this word as a loose labell- my practices & beliefs are very eclectic & I prefer to think they can't be labelled), the environment (recycling, trees etc)& lying in daisies watching the clouds, music,writting poetry,yoga, painting is my passion. Poi,the world and it's many cultures is an interest that I'd like to pursue but time and money are holding me back for the time being. Not for long! Tea...I forgot to mention that I'm obsessed with tea, mostly the drinking part and the social aspect of tea. I love to share a good cup of tea, I think to share tea made in the belly of one tea pot is a sacred and bonding experience. I prefer non-caffinated tea but I'm gettin a bit hard core at the mo- on up to 2 caffinated cups per day...my fav is homemade chai & the runner up is rose flavoured black tea...ohh & lapsang is a tea for talking late at night.
I mostly use myspace to keep in contact with people I've met in the physical world however I'm open to meeting anyone with honest motivations. I'm particularly keen to meet people who are authentic to themselves & people who working for the greater good in whatever means is appropriate to them.If this were a dating agency I might write: hmm takes some thinking (who knows the universe may provide me with a match, I don't want to make any mistakes) Characteristics: loving, open, honest (to others & self), creative, trusting, trustworthy, embraces spirituality, intelligent, inspiring, fun in a free sense of the word, reliable, charismatic, independant (by this I don't mean to exclude someone who is part of a community or group, I mean someone who is putting as much in as they are getting out). Possible Likes (all optional): self- expression, plays an instrument (not as an extention of/ replacement for phallus like many a male rock star wana be I might have admired in my more youthful youth (I don't mean you Adam, you were modest in your famous days) must be prepared to dance, interested in ethical living, yoga, healing, maybe yurt building or something philosophising. Someone who will stand up for their friends and their beliefs. Someone who gets their highs from their perspective on life :) Would prefer male aged approx 24-26 (although I reckognise this is such a varying measure) who is physically attractive to me and speaks english. :)even tho the above was a kind of geeky joke, a part of me was open to thinking the universe might take me up on this... & it did. A beautiful fairy king danced his way into my reality. The moral of the story is that positive manifestations (if they are the right thing for you) are posible, even if they sound a bit silly. Try it! The happier you are, the happier the world is.The story continues & the fairies danced along separate life paths, my answer to this is that life is a constant process of change & evolution therefore if one is flowing with the universe, a story never ends it only unfolds...
Music :) I love the expressive qualities of music and the pure delight and enlightenment that making music with others can provide it's such a massive cut above conversation (I don't quite 'get' small-talk (weather etc)it seems a bit difficult & degrading to the human experience although I'm happy if people engage in it with me 'cos its a way of being friendly it's just not a skill I have). Since writting the above about small talk I've sociallised with many a small talking woman & am now quite up for a bit of pointless disscusion especially about imaginary persomification of animals and objects. Music that I like varies from moment to moment depending on how I'm feeling...things have changed alot recently...u'd have to hear it really If I were to name drop a select few, I'd say: Marrisa Nadler Martha Tilston Dolly Parton ( I particularly like the line in 9 till 5 "Pour myself a cup of ambition" 'cos its what I do all the time.) Pixie Steve is an excellent guitarist! I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Jeff BuckleyPixie/ fairy music (that I have recently come to recognise as psytrance)
The last unicorn, monster, the labrynth, virgin suisides, reality bites, girl interupted, amelie, I'm not scared, waste land, what the bleep etc. I prefer to watch films in small old-fashioned cinemas it just makes them better and there's something romantic about subtitled films.
I don't have TV but if I did; Daria, sugar rush, period dramas (with female heroines)... depends how much escapism I need and how much work I'm putting off. I have TV now :( I'm not cool anymore.
Generation x by douglas coupland, The Tao of Pooh, Alice in Wonderland (I'm not quite sane enough to delve into through the looking glass or insane enough to endure it without noticing how it disrupts ones perception.) lots of other books... Ken Wilber is my new fav author, he writes about everything- art, literature, psychology, sociology, idealism, materialism - very fascinating...a summary of everything. Shaun McNiff is my fav writter about art as medicine/ the shamanic & archetypal relevance of art therapy.
