About Me
We're Man Down, a 5 piece Rock / Pop/Punk band based out of Toledo OH. Currently trying to get our name out there. We started back in April of 2007 and have been playing shows and writing music continuously for the last two years around the local scenes of Toledo and Bowling Green. We released our debut album "Live and Let Love [Destroy] You" back in May of 2008 and have been gaining alot of momentum since then. Influenced alot by the sounds of 90's pop/punk bands such as Blink 182, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday, Sum 41 and Green Day as well as the more modern sounds of Hit the Lights and similar bands we are a healthy blend of Rock and Pop Punk, sweet melodies, driving complex rhythms, heavy riffs, fun party tunes and slow soothing ballads, love, hate, and everything in between. We are Man Down and we want you to know us.

Man Down
The campaign is established, "Man Up For Man Down", join the cause and help us get out there, anyway you can. We need Man Down Street Teamers to help us promote upcoming shows, sell tickets for our shows, sell merch (cd's and t-shirts), and just get the word out on us anyway you can think of. We need to keep expanding our fan base and bringing new faces to the crowd. And the best way to do that is through you guys, by word of mouth, posterizing us up in your area, buying our cd, blasting your favorite Man Down tunes and getting us in the ears of your friends. So Man Up For Man Down anyway you can. Easiest thing you can do....tell all your friends about us! And tell them to tell their friends about us. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated. You guys Rock and we can't do this alone. So make your presence known and show your support for Man Down as obnoxiously and loud as you can, just like we like it. You guys are the most important part of this whole thing and at the end of the day the only thing that matters, the fans, friends and family, the people that believe in what you're doing and enjoy it. We appreciate everything you guys do for us so much. You guys Rock! We'll see you at the show.

MAN DOWN'S STORY SO FAR...
Established in November of 2006, at a party in an apartment in Toledo one night, Man Down formed from 3 best friends (Nick, Brian and Matt originally) who all had a love for music, just happened to be equally talented individually and agreed that they wanted to start a band, start writing music of their own and get out and get it heard by as many people as possible. Either that same night or a few nights later, we came up with the name "Man Down", not really any thought or special significance behind it, it just came out and we agreed to go with it. Next we started looking for the rest of the lineup to complete the band. Brian brought in Mark one day and we just kinda started getting together to jam weekly. After searching for awhile and trying out some possible prospects as far as singers, we met Dustin, invited him over to jam one night and ended up writing "Break Down" that night, our first time jamming together. We definitely had a good feeling about it after he left, so we called him back and jammed with him a few more times, decided that he fit our style really well and instantly added him to the lineup. We then decided to add Mark officially as the other guitar player to complete it. We just released our full length debut album "Live and Let Love [Destroy] You" on Saturday May 17th 2008 at Club Bijou in Toledo, which we released independently and recorded ourselves in our house, the "Man Down Headquarters" if you will. Recently our original drummer Matt decided it was best for him to leave the band unfortunately. His departure was on good terms and we wish hime the best in his future endeavors and we will miss him. As of December 2008 we began the search for a new drummer. We got very lucky and became really good friends with the Express Local and met Doug. Our new found local friends wanted us to play with them for their Festivus show at the end of December, problem was we couldn't play it without a drummer. Doug being the gracious guy that he is said he would play a double set that night and fill in for us. So we began the grueling process of teaching Doug all our songs, which turned out to be not that grueling. After two short weeks of practice we played the show with him. At some point during that period we must have started growing on Doug because he started asking us about filling in for us on our next couple shows which we thought was awesome and helped us so we didn't have to cancel any shows keep cramming with new drummers every week. Through January we started dropping some subtle hints that we wanted Doug to be our full time drummer, since the Express Local had informed us that they were most likely calling it quits unfortunately. He kinda shrugged it off or avoided it by making a joke and we'd change the subject. He played the hard to get game with us for awhile. But finally on January 21st 2009 Doug joined as our new full time drummer. We're excited about adding hime to the lineup and and can't wait to get things rolling with him. We're currently looking for and booking shows as well as writing new songs for our second album. And of course partying like Rockstars every chance we get. We're getting ready to make a huge move forward. We've got a new lineup, a new look and alot of new ideas so look for big things from Man Down in the near future. This is Man Down, strap in and enjoy the ride. best profile tools
