Add to My ProfileSo about me...My name is Angie Dhillon, I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. I speak English, Hindi, Punjabi, a little bit of Spanish and can pull off a good British and Spanish accent! I have previously worked as a TV Host/Presenter however currently I am a freelance entertainment & fashion journalist, an aspiring film maker (check out my recent project on YouTube titled "Dipper Style Productions - A Bollywood Love Story"). I'm also a freelance make-up artist and since I have completed work on two indie films and working on another one I guess I can add actress to my resume as well! My make-up artistry training was done in in Los Angeles, California, here I had the opportunity to be trained by the best of the best...a very cool and well known celebrity make-up artist. I have been involved in the arts and entertainment industry in Vancouver for sometime, I co-hosted the 2005 Miss Teen Canada Global Pageant. I also coached and trained the 2004 Miss Teen Canada Global Pageant winner. I was also a semi-finalist in the 2006 Much Music VJ Search! In 2006 I got a chance to act in my first independent film -it is still under post production, and recently I finished work on my second indie film where I play a detective in the upcoming film
"L.A. Takedown".
My personality consists of being a straight shooter, a no non-sense kinda gal, I say it like it is and I am one tough cookie! I am outspoken, friendly, good humoured, love to talk and have lots to say (another reason why I belong in the media field). Here's where I go deep...I truly feel we all have a purpose to our existence.....some of us just don't know what we are here to do. I think it's so important for all of us to find things we are passionate about, you know things that define who we are and what we stand for- Hallelujah! For me, my life long fight will be to try and bring an end to youth violence & bullying. I have and will continue to dedicate countless hours on raising awareness on this subject, it is an issue close to my heart and one that affected me directly in elementary school.My favourite quote is by Mahatma Gandhi:"Hesitating to act because the whole vision might not be achieved or because others do not yet share it is an attitude that only hinders progress".
