..The epitome of being frank, liberal,serious yet full of joy, talented yet umble, a teacher yet always a student, Rondell Allen a.k.a Positive is a breathe of fresh air to music lovers worldwide. Positive is a multi-talented soldier of Christ who hold the blessings of Singer/Songwriter/Actor/Motivational Speaker dear to his heart. He views music especially REGGAE as Real Food to the Mind and Soul. Being born to a father who was previously Sound Selector/DJ, his life was rooted/entrenched into the music of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Gregeory Isacs and the Jackson Five. Alfred, his father, now a Christian encouraged him to sing in Church. He began to develop a love and appreciation for music. At age nine (9) he began singing his own songs in church.Rondell's first true test as a singer came on December 25, 1996, when he sneaked out of the house of his parents to see a Stage Show with 'Mad Cobra'. Life changed as he entered a singing competition which included already Recording Artistes. His Cover of two Sanchez songs earned him his first stage name 'Sanchez 11 and half of the prize money $j500 as the competition ended in a draw. Forward Phase 11====1997 Singer suddenly started pursuing his fathers footsteps. Positive became very popular as a Disc Jockey in his home Parish Portland on then the number one Sound System 'HEART BEAT DISCO'. He now started doing gigs all over Jamaica. This continued until he moved to a more popular Sound System ' Hotta Flexx' in 2002. That same year God's plan began Fruition. People would leave Kingston to see, then, 'Rondell Slaughter' working the Microphone. People would jump off realy high places at his command, people burnt their clothes, girlz would be on their headz, police and gunmen would discharge their weapons emptying their magazines at 'Slaughters' command. Eight months into the year God manifested HIMSELF to Positive and found better use for his energies. Forward Phase 111====2005 Coleen Duncan, student at Edna Manley School of Music asked him to perform on her Final Year Show. Her show was deem The Mother Of All Shows that year. Rondell was congratulated then by the Minister of Tourism and Culture The Hon. Aluon Asamba who was impressed with his performance. Recording began about nine weeks later.Immediately his straight-forward approach to music and hard hitting lyrics backed with a hardcore reggae sound gave him the priviledge of being compared to reggae greats Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Positive is a no non-sense Christian who intend to take Hardcore Gospel to another level. Positive desires to 'LIVE LIKE CHRIST', meeting the needs of society and people where they are. He sees music as a VITAL TOOL to making life better for people and a Deadly Weapon for those who are being mislead by violent words and lifestyles. Positive believes MORE CONCIOUS MUSIC NEEDS TO BE HEARD WORLDWIDE.He has performed on several shows in Jamaica, which include Portland Jerk Festival, Tribute to Culture, Transformation Jamaica, I-Sream,Solid Agency/ Star No Violenc Tour among others. .He as shared the stage with the likes of Prodigal Son,Turbulence, Dj Nichalas, Nadine Sutherland, Richie Spice, Tarrus Riley, Freddie McGregor and many of Jamaica's top artistes. He has been priviledged to perform on Jamaica's 1 Morning Time TV show, 'TVJ's Smile Jamaica' twice. Currently he has two major hit singles which are expected to set the stage for his debut album 'Positive Vibes'. (Threefold Solution) Peace Love & Unity is his first project as a songwriter, Artiste and Producer was vote 'BIG TUNE' on Roots 96 Fm's What's The Verdict.. "Leave the Children" was written as a tribute to the women and children who were brutally murdered in St Thomas Jamaica on February 26,2006. Currently Positive is collaborating with Jermaine Edwards on a couple singles set to be released in March 2008 by Celestial Heightz Music London. Look out for singles such, 'Lift Up My Heart' I'm Not Ashamed, Political Violence.He is also presently working with XPANDA MUSIC on two singles for the album. At the end of the day Positive represents Christ and seeks to use music as a medium to reach the lost,comfort the broken, help the needy and express his love.
