About Me

Although born within a hop of Fullers' Brewery in Chiswick, life never became any clearer to me since, but I do consider myself a son of Wessex, having(almost)grown up on a farm in Hampshire, within a field of the Aldermaston AWRE estate called (appropriately) Oakridge, and in earshot of B52s at Greenham Common: very much a child of the Cold War, and probably my fascination with Americana arose from there. Sadly the earlier experiments into Land Art have scant evidence remaining in the way of documentation, since the nature of it is rather ephemeral in any case - its coming before I plunged into art education, meant that my naivite with this regard has now been overtaken by an appreciation of my responsibilty towards my own creative practise and doing it as a professional. It's my policy not to conceal my age which can surprise people, virtue of an acknowledged youthful look [sometimes maybe, but probably with hangover (now rare) or after a headshave - annual]. Now a Manchester-based visual, creative and expressive artist.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

most people on a best out of three basis, plus a few I'd like to apologise to the next time. I'm not given to first impressions, myself. I would like to have met Dave Chorley, to find out if it was him I had a discussion with on a train between Winchester and Basingstoke, about cornfields, back in the 1970's, sadly for both of us mortality takes its toll of so many coversations that probably ought to have been. I seem to enjoy the company of musicians and actors as well as those from my own sphere of activity, which is probably why I have set down my marker on what is a largely musician's forum.
