Michael K. Anderson hails from the great American Midwest, which he claims isn't nearly as bad as people say (although he has yet to convince anyone in New York of this). He is a director, screenwriter, actor and accordionist, though not necessarily in that order.
Mr. Anderson has many acclaimed and award-winning short films to his credit, the latest of which is the rock & roll comedy " Dale Crawford:Musician/Detective " which is making the festival rounds.
In addition to his film work, Mr. Anderson was also a writer and performer on the kids radio program " The Wonder Show " in St. Louis from 1996-1999.
Mr. Anderson has two screenplays optioned: the sci-fi thriller THE ENEMY WITHIN and a big-screen adaptation of THE WONDER SHOW.
Currently, he is reuniting with his Wonder Show partners Jim "The Radio Guy" Tudor and John "The Radio Gross" Gross to produce a series of internet-only short films based on their radio program. The first of these is set to premiere in mid 2007. A compilation of three of these shorts, entitled " Guns, Ghosts & Girlfriends ", is set to premiere on December 12, 2007 as part of the NewFilmmakers series at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City.
Mr. Anderson also an avid filmgoer and is currently making my way through the entire Criterion Collection . His progress so far:
