We have a large range of Dj..s and performers working in collaboration with us, covering a range of music styles from tech/electro house and techno to funky house and breaks.
"I have been up and running for seven years hosting events to showcase some of the unsigned talent from the northeast and accross Britain. I have discovered and promoted some top quality talent over the years through hosting open deck events and DJ competitions. Some of the fliers from these events can be found in the photo gallary. If you are interested in performing with us or want to know anything else at all about myself 'Matty Innocent" or fubar Soundstream / Club Promotions then please contact me via my messages or send me an e-mail to [email protected]. MSN messanger users please feel free to add me! I am always on the look out for new dj's and performers or just likeminded people with an interest in the same things as myself."
Some of my production projects have been put on the player for you to have a listen to. please feel free to give any feedback at all.
"I am currently looking for a vocalist to work with on some of our latest projects, if anyone is interested please contact me!".
I have been on the for front of the tech house scene for many years now and am coming into my own now the general public in middlesbrough and the norteast are willing to accept the driving basslines and elecro stabs associated with the tech house and elektro house scene that i love so much. "Its nice to finaly be able to leave some of the more mainstream funky house alone and belt out the stuff I love to jam with! I have truly found my signiture sound now and am not looking back".
"As I have been a lover of the house scene since I was in nappies I still love the classics and am always on the hunt for the tuffer Elektro mixes of the older stuff. There is some nice remixes coming off many new labels these days and I'm loving it! Its nice to see the good tunes being put out to the general public and being accepted but when they are played to death all day by the commercial radio stations its a pain!"
I am looking to find gigs a little further a feild in 2008. Demo's and portfolio's available on request! I am also looking for a label to pick up on my production work and hopfully get a release.
Anyway there is a little about me and Fubar Soundstream, enjoy the tracks and please feel free to add any comments at all. We love feedback of any kind! thanks folkes!
BIG LOVE, MATTY INNOCENT :-)
MATTY INNOCENT QUICK BIOGRAPHY -Matty has had an interest in music of all genres from a very young age. Music played a big part in Matty’s life growing up, enjoying all kinds of genres from 60’s and rock and roll through his mother and father as well as 80’s pop, Punk, Skar and Indie through to Oldschool House and Techno, Acid House and Happy Hardcore through his siblings. When Matty hit his early teens he found his identity musically and began to appreciate the House music scene of the early 90’s as well as the DJ’s and producers involved in it. Matty followed the house scene throughout the early 90’s constantly looking out for “the next big thing†by reading magazines and listening to late night radio shows.
In 1994 when Matty was 13 he bought his first pair of turntables and a basic mixer. He began to buy vinyl with his paper round money and gradually built up a record collection and his skills as a DJ improved with it. In 1995 Matty decided to approach the music and drama departments at his high school with a proposition to host a small party through the youth club in the school community centre and they gave him the go ahead. The party was a success and became a regular monthly event. After that first taste of playing a crowd Matty was hooked. From then on Matty knew he was meant to be a professional DJ. Matty continued to organise and promote regular events through his years at school and branched out to start doing friends birthday parties, house parties and other small events.
In 1999 Matty started to go to events around the local area and chat to the DJ’s and promoters passing on demo CD’s and pushing for a chance to play professionally. As a result of his persistence and hard work Matty landed his first paid gig on 18th October 1999 for an event called “Energize†Club Oscars, Stockton-n-tees. Off the back of this Matty was invited to become a resident DJ for the event. Landing this first gig had a knock on effect for Matty and as a result he began to get a reputation for being a skilled DJ and the work started pour in.
In 2002 Matty created his promotions company Fubar Club Promotions and began to organise and promote events himself under Fubar Club Promotions. One of the main reasons Matty formed Fubar Club Promotions was to put something back into the scene and to help unsigned local DJ’s to get a chance to play in a professional atmosphere because he knows all to well how hard it is to make the transition from a bedroom DJ to a professional. Matty has held numerous events since he formed Fubar Club Promotions including open deck events, DJ competitions as well as club events such as Funked up, Ground out, Elements, Electrolove and Pleasure to name but a few, Many of which are still up and running today.
Matty had enjoyed the last five years working within the music industry and had made many friends through his career so far but he felt it was time to take things to the next level. Matty began to get involved in music production by building a small home studio and enrolling on a HND Music Technology course at Teesside University.
Matty spent the next three years developing his production skills as well as working a DJ and event promoter with great success.
Matty has spent the last nine months working on his first album “Backbeats for the Prozac people†due to be released summer 2008. Check out the profile player for a sneak preveiw.
The future looks good for Matty Innocent and Fubar Club Promotions. He is looking forward to 2008 and the new doorS to open and new challenges for him to take on.
