What you see with Karen is what you really get. One of the first things that jumps out at folks, when they first meet her, is how smart she is. Of course the intelligence competes with her physical beauty. The funny thing is that she never thinks of herself as pretty, bright, smart, or funny. She is deeply committed to her family (and close friends) and will fight like a “Momma Bear†if she feels they’re threatened. She is also passionate about finding or bringing about justice where she finds it missing or lacking. She is a thousand times tougher on herself than she would be on her worst enemy (if she had any).She is very sensitive and emotive, to the point where she has a gift of being able to gain the trust and love of all kinds of animals (and she loves them like her own in return). She is an old soul, harmonizing with nature, which she expresses in her gardening and animal care. She is without guile and sometimes has problems when she trusts others too much. She feels pain more intensely than others, but bears it with grace. She will ALWAYS do what she feels to be the right thing, no matter what the cost to HER. In another life, she could have been a tall sunflower reaching up to Heaven's warmth......................................................
............................................Written by my husband, soulmate and father of my children.....................I enjoy adventure, I love to travel, I adore animals & people, esp puppies and baby alpacas. I will take photos of you if you get anywhere close to me so smile and say cheese!! I love challenges and learning, esp learning to do new things....I love to grow flowers and I love trees. Things I need in my life besides nature, my peeps and my animals include music, and art (fortunately all of my kids are artists, singers, musicians...) I play the piano and dabble at the (full-size) harp. I drive either an old 1979 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC OR a Ford Escape Hybrid (yep I'm a green, recycling, composting girl) but I have a big green HUMMER for our farm, for hauling and carrying animals! I love flying small airplanes (but do not jump from them)...I adore the sun, the beach and the woods and listening to the snow fall in wide open pastures at night. The silent solemn, peaceful sound of the snowflakes falling gently to the ground here, away from the hustle & bustle, makes my heart sing...I could never go back to living in the city again. I adore my horses, my alpacas, and my HUGE dogs (my Great Pyrenees and Newfoundlands which I have bred) plus my old german shepherd and myu crazy, hyper, hilarious tiny mini-terrier...most of all. And yes, I realize I am very unusual and/or different. I'm a Lymehead though (long-term Lyme disease plus all the co-infections) and that means I am limited now, and must watch where and how I expend resources, whereas I was a whirlwind ball of energy when I was younger and healthy. My husband and twoof my three children also have Lyme - and my two yopunger children have been VERY ill with it - one bedridden and one paralyzed. My GFs (who mean the world to me, and some have been BFFs for over 30 years) and I enjoy crafts like beading, sewing and scrapbooking our photos, as well as any new creative idea that we encounter while we spend our "girl time". Even though I love to meet new people, and really wish I could meet all the fantastic people out there, I have reluctantly realized that (gullible is written on the ceiling? where?) it is not safe to add them all as friends - [but you can message me about LYME DISEASE and I will happily help you]...my husband is a retired cop and I am here to talk to people I already know, to help people with Lyme disease complex (Lyme and its associated co-infections and resulting disabilities), and to look out for my children and quasi-adopted ones.
