IDM and IDTV started 2008 with a BANG!
On January 5th 2008, Hollywood's Fonda Theater hosted the 19th annual 2007 Guitar Center Drum-Off finals to a sold-out crowd. Guitar Center's widely popular moniker may be a misnomer, but not to over 4000 budding percussionists across the nation. IDM and IDTV will provide full coverage on the Drum-Off Grand Finals, including live performance videos, photo exposé, and interviews with Drum-Off host Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction, Porno For Pyros), Shannon Leto (30 Seconds To Mars), Bobby Alt (Street Drum Corps), and contestants Paul Stoot, Ivan Garcia, Sherman Arnold, and Guitar Center Drum-Off Grand Champion Donald Marple. Stay tuned!Chapter 27: Art imitates life.
"…this is an experimental film, a very different film. It’s not a traditional Hollywood melodrama. It’s a very dark and claustrophobic dive into insanity and obsession." - Jared LetoJared Leto as Mark David Chapman. On December 8, 1980 Mark David Chapman shocked the world by murdering the beloved purveyor of peace, 40-year old musician and activist, John Lennon, outside The Dakota, his New York apartment building. Chapman’s motives were fabricated from pure delusion, fueled by an obsession with the fictional character Holden Caulfield and his similar misadventures in J.D. Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye. In one instant, an anonymous, 25-year old, mentally unstable, socially awkward Beatles fan -- who had fluctuated between idealizing Lennon and being overcome with a desire to kill him – altered the course of history. IN DEMAND MAGAZINE/IDTV recently spoke with actor/musician Jared Leto about his latest film release Chapter 27, in which Leto convincingly plays Mark David Chapman, and also serves as one of the film’s executive producers. Stayed tuned for the full interview, and review of Chapter 27.

On April 5th, 2008, after a screening of Chapter 27 at the Nuart Theater in Los Angeles, writer/director J.P. Schaefer, and actor Jared Leto answer questions from an enthusiastic live audience.
Videographer: Jen Renfro
EXCLUSIVE: Writer/director Jarrett Schaefer grants IDTV a rare on-camera interview (his first in fact), and speaks candidly about Chapter 27 like you've never heard him before.
