The band hails from Distrito Federal (Brasil), created by Italo Guardieiro (ex-Indeathrow) and Samuel Borges (Mørk) in 2004, in order to propagate its ideas through aggressive lyrics and music.
Device line-up consists of: Italo Guardieiro in vocals, Daniel Gonçalves (xLinha de Frentex) in bass, Marco Di Vicenti in guitar, Marco Mendes in guitar and backing vocal and Victor Del Duca in drums. The band is promoting its EP named “Behold Darkness†produced by Caio Duarte, of Dynahead's fame. Behold Darkness songs were used in the soundtrack of an independent movie “A Capital dos Mortos†(in English the translation would be “The Capital of The Deadâ€) – the first Brazilian full-length zombie themed movie.

In 2008 the band achieved one great conquer by reaching the second place in the Brazilian Center-West regional contest of W:O:A Metal Brasil, where the national contest winner would play the famous “Metal Battle†– at Germany festival “Wacken Open Airâ€. Consequently, the band was getting audience in Brasilia’s metal concerts, also winning a contest that gave the band an opportunity to play in the biggest rock festival in Latin America, the “Porão do Rockâ€. Then the band started to be viewed by friends and fans as a synonym of respect and perseverance.

A Device está estabilizada com a seguinte formação: Italo Guardieiro nos vocais, Daniel Gonçalves (xLinha de Frentex) no baixo, Marco Di Vicenti na guitarra, Marco Mendes na guitarra e backing vocais e Victor Del Duca na bateria. A banda está divulgando seu EP intitulado “Behold Darkness†com a produção de Caio Duarte, integrante da banda Dynahead. As músicas desse EP fazem parte da trilha sonora do filme independente “A Capital dos Mortosâ€, o primeiro longa-metragem nacional do gênero zumbis/mortos vivos.
As letras da banda falam sobre sociedade, guerra, violência, morte e anti-cristianismo.
Em 2008 a banda teve uma das maiores conquistas, ficando em segundo lugar da seletiva regional no Centro-Oeste do W:O:A Metal Battle Brasil, onde seu principal objetivo é levar uma banda para disputar o concorrido "Metal Battle" do festival alemão "Wacken Open Airâ€. Conseqüentemente, a banda começou a se destacar no cenário do metal brasiliense, tocando inclusive no maior festival de rock da américa latina, o Porão do Rock. E assim se torna sinônimo de respeito e batalha para todos os amigos e admiradores da sua música.
