I am a deep and passionate human being who loves people, enjoys the pursuit of knowledge, and finds joy in simple things like exotic flowers and sunsets. I grew up in northern michigan for most of my life and moved out to ventura, california after i graduated from michigan state university with my degree in nursing. It was in ventura that I learned how to surf and after two years in ventura I left and moved to Hawaii for a great job offer and to surf bigger waves. I thought I would only be there for 3 months but I ended up staying for two years. I am an ER nurse by trade but my true passion is dancing salsa, bachata and cha cha. I enjoy outdoor sports, music, fine arts, learning languages, and cooking. I studied abroad in Ecuador and Mexico so I speak Spanish and lately i have been trying to teach myself italian. I recently started getting deeper into photography. I see so much beauty in the little details of life, the way a baby grabs onto their mother, the way old people walk hand in the hand, they way the sun sparkles on the ocean. I love to capture those moments. I have a great family, a great life, a few true friends, tons of memories from traveling all over the world, and for these reasons I am blessed. I don't pretend to have all the answers, I just try to keep trucking along this wild ride called "Life" with eyes wide open. Im not really a churchy person but i do believe in God, and I think we as human beings have been placed on this earth for two reasons: to love as deeply and passionately without fear and also to learn as much as we can. The course of life doesn't come with instruction books or guidance manuals...I strive daily to lead with my heart more than my brain, listen, pay attention, and try not to make the same mistake twice... and I remember to always make time for fun and pleasure, life is too short.
