The Monks of the New Order

Born of the ethereal mixture that is transcendental psychodiddley, the monks were raised to reign supreme in a world careening dangerously towards oblivion. Fostered by the New Order to be the voice of the movement, these two monks excelled at their given task. These recordings represent the entire known works of the monks. They were made utilizing but one string, no more and no less. Why one string you ask? Because one is the perfect number. Though they were two with four hands between them, their fingers numbered sixteen. Right Monk (the designation of Right Monk and Left Monk was instituted merely for purposes of discussion, their real names are known only to those highest in the Order) is said to possess a single, solitary digit on his right hand. One digit for one string. A single string can never be out of tune, and being out of tune with oneself is the most heinous atrocity that can befall upon the likes of humankind. Sonic manipulation and further melodic embellishment is provided by Left Monk and his flawless, almost eerily clairvoyant maneuvering of the delay knobs, seemingly predicting every move of Right Monk. If the answer still eludes you, relax and listen. Hear the sounds, embrace their meaning, and follow the string to enlightenment...it has been said that when the harvest moon hangs low over the sassafras and the black equinox draws nigh, the monks shall reconvene and perform their celestial single string serenade to salve the soul once again.
