I am here for Friends

About Me

I am completely incapable of living without people, music, books, movies, theatre, art, or a reasonable amount of clear days. I have a contagious laugh. My best friend is my younger brother. 90s music is more or less the core of my existance. I've already met my other half3. Besides becoming a mother one day, my greatest ambition is to be a truly great artist (or a really incredible art teacher). After that, it's probably becoming a seasoned chef.

My Interests

Anything involving anything worth knowing. And my work.

I'd like to meet:

Everybody has a story worth telling.

Music:

Almost anything. Unless it sucks.
I'm going through another soundtrack phase: Chicago, Little Mermaid, and Marie Antoinette.

Movies:

Most movies I love are based on my favorite books. And some aren't.

Television:

The Office and anything on the Food Network. I'm kind of addicted to the late night cake baking contests.

Books:

There's really too many to name. I read constantly. I'm currently reading Sense & Sensibility and Guns, Germs, and Steel.

Heroes:

I love these kids. And Jeremy, the hamster, for having the biggest balls I've ever seen on a rodent. One day I'll remember to feed him.

My Blog

Ether.

It's the sensation When you hear that familiar song over and over again Your name until it's surreal and disconnected And you're rippled at the edges: A Barely There With the Everything flowing throug...

Stage Crew: Here's An Ode to You.

I think it's the fact that I've recently finished helping out with Thoroughly Modern Millie that I've felt this rush, this immense joy and emptiness all at once. I had my four years and somehow was "b...

Splinter.

Ugh.. I can't go to bed until my homework is done and I can't get my homework done because I've got this inner shut down thing going on. Fabulous. And since it IS technically the 14th now, I hope...

Window Clad

The eye, the lung: a bubbled piece of heat blasted sand bursting to life. What was once grainy and rough is now a smooth liquid. It can afford to be forgiving....

Chibita

This late night feeling keeps me up in stitches. I don't know what I want.   I can't even write a blog. I write, delete. Write, delete. Always temporary, never permanent. Fleeting. I'm on a wind,...

The Cradle Days of Caterpillar Sleep

It's not dreaming, it's lying about reality.   Whole cities in my head. And a moose with gold teeth and whiskers.
