About Me

The prairies, big city, and global village have provided strong influences for the roots based music of Sue and Dwight.Their lyrics are honest and insightful, weaving stories of life in small towns, city streets and African villages with themes of peace, courage and social justice. Through gentle persuasion the songs remind us not to lose sight of what's really important in the world. In addition to their weekly Saturday matinee at The Cameron House on Queen Street West in Toronto, Sue and Dwight perform regularly in Toronto's subway system as part of the city's renowned subway musician program. They have also begun expanding their audience through other venues across the province.Without pretension, they share their songs and stories while creating a warm atmosphere at their live shows. Rich harmonies are front and centre in their musical arrangements, supported by laid-back acoustic guitars and piano.Sue and Dwight's debut indie CD, 'Darlings of the Open Stage', is their tribute to passionate performers everywhere who take the stage each night to share their music. The CD showcases Sue and Dwight's unique roots styling through twelve original songs co-produced with Kevin Quain.
