Engage The Enemy

Started in November 2006, Engage The Enemy are a four piece metal band hailing from the Renfrew and Paisley areas of Scotland. With such a broad range of musical influences in the band. We played a lot of different metal and rock genres in the beginning to get to know each other. This approach not only improved our playing abilities individually, but it has also created a thirst to improve as a band and continue to develop as song writers and musicians.
Currently, we are in the middle of writing our demo, “In Disaster’s Wake”. We have been spending a lot of time perfecting the songs and its sound. After it's release we will then turn to extending our fan base and building up recognition. It will be a daunting task at first, but one that we cannot wait to undertake. We then hope to branch out into other scenes across Scotland and then take Britain and Europe by storm!
Engage the Enemy as it is now, is fronted by guitarist and vocalist, Ali Wishart. Ali joined the band in October 2007 when he replaced Frazer McNeil as guitarist and vocalist. Beforehand, Ali was in bands such as Ataxia Complex, Underverse and Arcanum before he joined “ETE” . With each respective band having varying degrees of success in the Paisley and Glasgow area which helped build them up a loyal fan base of close friends.
Andrew Ferguson, Steve Wilson and Scott David all met up through school. They all shared a common interest in music, especially metal and rock. Each were in original line up of Engage The Enemy which consisted of: Scott Clunie (Vocals), Andrew Ferguson (Bass & Vocals), Steve Wilson (Drums), Frazer McNeil (Lead Guitar) and Scott David (Rhythm Guitar). During this time each member grew as musicians and naturally, started to develop their own musical identity and ideas on which direction the band was to go. Sadly those ideas were not to be the same and through musical differences and other extenuating circumstances "Clunie" and Frazer both left the band.
With Ali in the band, Engage The Enemy experienced a renewed enthusiasm to music. Our abilities as song writers and musicians started to grow and it wasn’t long before “ETE” started to get some recognition in the local area. We went on to play notable venues such as “The Cathouse”, “The Barfly” and “The Soundhaus”. Our aim is to continue our progression as a band musically, socially and personally. We hope that one day we will be touring the world with some of our present day heroes and be able to make a living out of music. Until that day, we shall continue plying our trade and our apprenticeship starts here with our demo .... “In Disaster’s Wake”!!! Start Code To Apply Top Banner !!!!
