Yes, I know my compositions are pretty cheesy and lacking a lot in musical harmony, but keep in mind I've never been properly trained as a composer, and I do this stuff for fun...so don't judge too harshly...
Anyway...Hey guys... I'm a BFA2 at California Institute of the Arts, in the World Music Major. I am in a variety of groups, most prominently Djembe Nova, a fusion group of African drumming with Chris Armstrong, Cory Beers, Mike Robbins, and Joanna Malfatti. I am also very involved in the African Ensemble at CalArts, the tabla ensemble, and the percussion ensemble. I play a wide variety of instruments, the strongest in percussion (Marimba, Timpani, Snare, Drum Set, Tabla, Djembe, Ewe and Dagomba drumming and...etc.) I also play piano and guitar fairly well...and can dabble in a lot of other instruments. I'm also interested in animation, writing, photography, graphic design, fashion design, architecture, art, drawing, life drawing, film and video...pretty much anything that has to do with art.
I like to think of myself as a pretty down to earth person and I'm usually easy to talk to. Feel free to tell me what you think about my music. Thanks for listening :)
