I am a multifaceted artist, creating conceptually based socio-political objects and installations. I turn my hand to whatever medium I believe is best for the piece I am working with, working mainly with photography, installation, found object, sound and performance.My practise is heavily autobiographical. I am interested in the way that youth culture is portrayed and manipulated by the media, whether it be condemning or glorifying it. We are constantly influenced by all forms of media on a conscious and subliminal level, which shapes the choices we make in our everyday lives, what we wear, where we socialize and how we behave. Whilst these issues repeat themselves over generations I personally feel that they are becoming more intense through the rapid technological advances that we have seen over the past twenty years.My work also deals with issues of memory, binge drinking, clubbing, graffiti and media. I create drama and intrigue with my work, drawing the viewer in to a story that they must piece together.
