I live in Chicago, play piano at The Redhead Piano Bar, and have just released a new album called "Belle Epoque" which was recorded here in Chi-town, also in LA and London. Paul Buckmaster, string arranger extraordinaire did four string arrangements.Growing up I lived in Lafayette-Louisiana, Australia, San Fransisco, Tripoli-Libya, New Orleans, London-England, Scotland and Western North Carolina.My favorite places are England, France and The Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville.I love Indian food and spent a summer in India, also Thai food, theater, and art museums. I'm really influenced by mid-late period Beatles, XTC, and Elton John (1970-1974). It was wonderful to work with Buckmaster on my last album, who did arrangements for Elton's classic songs such as Tiny Dancer, Levon, 60 Years On, Madman Across the Water.My new album was hugely influenced by my very first visit to Paris in 1999, and then two subsequent visits. www.davidscottcrawford.com ..
