Are you feeling dangerous today?
Do you want to uncover the truth behind lies and love?
Have you ever wondered what makes a perfect human?
If your answer is yes to any of these questions- our new Season might just be the right thing for you!
Do join us in a chaotic, wild, seriously funny piece about love and loss–a celebration of life and death written with bodies without limits. Somewhere between sex and death, love and lies is the still centre. Hedonist Nigel Charnock kidnaps Candoco and you – should you dare.
In the second piece of the evening you can play witness to E4 series ‘Skins’ choreographer Hofesh Shechter’s dynamic exploration of the ‘perfect human’. This is a wild ride full of intense and powerful movement that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, breathless and wanting more.

Candoco Dance Company - the leading contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled performers was founded in 1991 by Celeste Dandeker and Adam Benjamin. The Company developed from workshops led by Celeste and Adam at the Mike Heaffey Centre in London and grew quickly into the first Company of its kind in the UK – a professional dance company specialising in the integration of disabled and non-disabled dancers. The Company won much acclaim from the press, public and from colleagues in the worlds of dance and education.
Artistic Director Celeste Dandeker has commissioned 30 new performance works for the Company from internationally renowned choreographers including: Emilyn Claid (UK), Javier de Frutos (UK), Doug Elkins (USA), Siobhan Davies (UK), Fin Walker (UK), Darshan Singh-Bhuller (UK), Annabel Arden (UK) and Stephen Petronio (USA). This ambitious commissioning policy is the backbone of the company’s success.
Since its inception 17 years ago, Candoco has aimed high, high in quality of movement, high in integrity of dance as an art form and high in expectations of ourselves as performers. Our focus is on dance not disability, professionalism not therapy.
"Candoco reinvented the boundaries of dance by proving that virtuosity wasn’t confined to the able bodied." Judith Mackrell, The Guardian
