30/10/08 Hey guys weve decided to call it a day with sameface just would like to thank everyone who came to our shows and supported us through these amazing two years, we are still going to finish a cd we have been promising for ages and it will be uploaded to the myspace for free download very soon!!!
26/12/07: Hey again; hopefully we'll be out there playing shows again in the oh sooooo sunny month of February as promised; trying to sort something out as this is being typed so keep your eyes on the calendar as there should be something up there very soon as a 'warm up'. 30/10/07: Hey everybody. We will, hopefully be recording a track or two from our current songpile which will be available here, with a bit of luck, this side of crimblymass. We may throw in a new one too if we get enough studio time. After all, you guys have been great to us so far and we owe you lot crimbo pressies for all your support. 28/10/07: Okay, just so you all know, we had to pull out of the Hednesford show with Hands of Hate because Jay hurt his hand and couldn't drum so sorry about that (especially to Carthy 'cuz me and him were really looking forward to it!). We've also pulled out of the Netherstowe show because one of the members had some plans that couldn't be changed so again, sorry about that. Songwritings going well, and the new shit is sounding very killer! We're not going to be booking any shows anytime soon, probably not until well into the new year so we can have a whole new set for you guys. To be honest we could've done with a bit more time to concentrate on a stronger setlist before we even started playing shows in the first place; so expect a stronger, more confident version of Sameface to emerge sometime in the first half of next year. Updates as and when we know whats going on, but until then we won't be playing any shows until at least 2008 so please don't ask us until then. Thanks to all for supporting us and we'll see you all again soon enough. Dean and the Sameface boys. x
05/10/07: A quick note on how we're getting on in the songwriting department. All is going well, if a little bit slowly; some of the noise that we're making is proper brutal, but some is a bit different as well. Its taking longer than expected; probably because we're going over every last detail with a flea comb, but we don't expect anything less. Also, this isn't by any means final, but we're possibly going into the studio sometime in November, and hopefully if we can swing it we'll record a total fuckload of tracks if we're fast enough, so keep checking back for updates. 26/09/07: The nights are getting cold up here, enough to freeze a man's bones.. its been almost a year since i set of on this expedition.. Eric stole my billy tin, so i ate his face. I expect i'll make it to the summit by the end of the month. The wolves have been very nice to me lately, we played football together with Eric's torso, they ate it. If i should die and anybody reads this, know that i am not keen of the new Everytime I Die album and that Bingo is not a means of investment. That is all
18/09/07: If anybody noticed the show at The Firkin in Stafford for the 29th that was up yesterday, we're really sorry but we've had to pull out of that one (AGAIN!!). I swear one day we will actually get to play in Stafford again...............I promise. Feel really bad about letting down the guys in A Skylight Closes again for the third time (maybe we're jinxed? Who knows), oh well, i'm sure we can make it up at some point; hopefully within the next few months or whatever. Apologies to all concerned with that one 'cuz i feel really bad about it.
In other news; hopefully we should be taking some photos tonight at practice, so keep your eyes peeled for some new shots up on the page. That is provided we can loan a camera and all that. Dean x
10/09/07: We're currently taking a few weeks off so we can concentrate on writing some new BRUTAL tunes for everyone (especially ourselves!), we'll still be here on Myspace though and if we remember we'll let you guys know how its going, and, more importantly how its sounding, so please drop by and say hello so we can talk randomness together at some point because we can get very bored very easily and it upsets us. 01/08/07: Bands we are currently booked to play with: Eternal Lord, Bury Tomorrow, Wish for Wings(AUS), Hands of Hate and Overthrone .

Formed in late 2006 from a group of friends who had played in bands previously; Sameface are a hardcore/metal band from the Midlands in England. The band are primarily based around Stafford, with the exception of Moylan who hails from Lichfield; gig swaps would be more than welcome in these areas although they can travel further with enough notice prior to booking.
Sameface don't take themselves too seriously; you'll find no big egos, drama or theatrics from them, they prefer to let the music do the talking and its about the only thing they can concentrate on long enough to actually take seriously.
Some people probably think Sameface is noise due to the time changes and heaviness of it all; the fact of the matter is that it probably IS noise to most people, they make no arguments with that, but screw it; they play the music they want to make and they do it for absolutely no one but themselves; this may sound just like one of those terrible, self absorbed, arrogant Rock Star cliches but its completely one hundred percent true!
Anyway, back to the point. The individual members of Sameface will probably all tell you very different things about what their 'sound' is, thats because they're all very different personalities; Moylan's very into the popular Metal/Hardcore crossover scene thats kicking off right now, Andy's the eccentric who likes music that messes with your head amongst other things, Dean's the token 'Metal' guy who likes anything as long as its heavy except for Slayer (much to Jay's dislike), Yeti's the Hardcore/Punk guy who likes a little of everything else for good measure too and Jay is into all of the above except for Metallica (much to Dean's dislike). So with five such different personalitites within the band its inevitable that they're all going to leave their signature on the music in one way or another, but still its kind of hard to describe the 'sound' evidently its rooted in Hardcore to a certain extent but they like to think its a little more than that (The Hardcore scene would probably beat them all up for raping their genre!). Best thing to do really is to have a listen and let them know what you think. Don't worry, they won't care if you think they're shit, they're used to it!
OK OK seriousness for a second now. If you're a promoter looking to book the band in the future then please get in touch with them either through this Myspace profile, or e-mail them at [email protected] leaving contact details. They don't check the e-mail account nearly as much as they should, so a Myspace message would be replied to more quickly.
